ENTRIES: Entry consideration into the McCravy Memorial Track & Field Meet is open to any Kentucky high school age athlete. Depending on a State's activities association eligibility rules (KHSAA), athletes may compete as members of their high school team, a track club or as unattached competitors. Individual membership in USATF is not required. A combined Alphabetical Squad List and Entry Form is enclosed. Type or print very neatly the athlete's first and last names with year in school, listing current, accurate performance information. Please enter accurate or realistically estimated performances to ensure a competitive situation for all athletes. If performance information is not available, put an "X" in the appropriate event box and the athlete will be seeded with no mark. Please list all running event entries as fully automatic or electronic times. (1:56.32). If best performances were achieved in competition using manual timing, please add .24 seconds for the 60 and 200 meter races and .14 seconds for races over 200 meters. For the 60 meters and 60m Hurdles events, please use 100 meter and 100m/110m hurdle performances as entry times. In past years, we've received both indoor and outdoor performances and we do not want to convert times. Enter field event performances in feet and inches.

PLEASE NOTE: Since we do not know how many entries we will receive for this meet, and recognizing the limitations of our facility, should it be necessary, meet management reserves the right to make the following adjustments in the conduct of the competition to ensure a timely and efficient competition:
entry limitations; higher starting heights (HJ & PV) ; minimum measurements (LJ/Shot Put) ; along with reduced attempts (4) in the LJ & Shot Put. Entries for all events will be accepted on a "first come - first served" basis.

SANCTIONING: The University of Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial High School Meet is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF) and hosted by the University of Kentucky Milers’ Club, a USATF club (# 41-0007). Individual membership in USATF is not required to compete.

CONDUCT OF COMPETITION: Athletes must be accompanied by a coach, parent or designated school representative due to insurance regulations.
All running events will be contested as straight finals. If more than one race is scheduled, a "sections against time" format will be utilized. Sections, heats, lanes, and flights of competition in field events will be seeded according to entry times / distances and other available performance information. The first section in the running events and the first flight in field events will be the top seeded competition. A schedule of events is enclosed. We do not currently have a time schedule of events since we do not know how many entries we will receive for this meet. Following confirmation of entries, we willl produce a tentative time schedule of events and post it on the meet web site. The "no false start" rule will be in effect.

FIELD HOUSE LOCATION: Nutter Field House is located on the south side of the UK campus between Alumni and Cooper Drives, next to Commonwealth Football Stadium.

WARM-UP LOGISTICS: Athletes must warm-up on the football field. A warm-up oval will be marked with banners on the turf. Teams will be required to "camp" or locate inside the oval, allowing athletes warming-up a clear path around the oval on the outer edges of the football field.
Warming-up will not be allowed on the track!

ATHLETE CHECK-IN: Athletes in all RUNNING EVENTS must check-in with the Clerk of Course in the southeast corner of the field house 15 minutes prior to their race. The clerk will distribute hip numbers for selected events (400-800-mile-2mile-relays). Athletes in lane races (60-60H-200) will not be required to wear hip numbers but must still check-in with the clerk of course. After receiving hip number, athletes should report to the clerk near the starting line for their race.

Athletes in all FIELD EVENTS should report to their area of competition 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Shots will be collected and weighed 30 minutes prior to start time.

TIMING: Lynx Race Management System. A "split-timer" carrying a blue sign will move around the track providing split locations.

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: The UK Sports Medicine Staff will provide athletic training needs to all athletes.
